As longtime neighbors here in Calexico, this project hit close to home. When Calexico Brewing Company approached us, it wasn’t just a collaboration — it was a chance to help shape something meaningful for our own community.

They weren’t just looking for a label — they were building a brand that represented the spirit of the border, the richness of craft brewing, and the energy of a new local favorite.

We dove in headfirst, starting with mood boards and exploratory sketches that blended bold colors, cultural nods, and a laid-back, modern feel. Every design round felt like opening a new tap — full of surprises, flavor, and character.

From the first concept to the final label print, we worked hand-in-hand with the founders, making sure each element told their story. Whether it was experimenting with typefaces that hinted at Calexico’s industrial roots or playing with color palettes that nodded to desert sunsets and vibrant street art — nothing was left to chance.
